Pneumatic Forklifts Training Vaughan - Extensively used in delivery plants, the pneumatic lift truck or pallet truck, may be used to transfer materials that are placed onto pallets. A pneumatic forklift commonly has a set of metal blades mounted on a wheeled counterweight that also has a pump. The pump is used to lift and lower the blades.

Visually check the pallet vehicle prior to loading. Make sure the wheels are free of any would-be obstructions. Additionally, ensure the handle moves smoothly and turns properly. Check the pallet before moving it to assess if it is stacked in a manner that minimizes the possibility of anything falling off during lifting. Discharge any air in the pump and drop the forks to the ground by squeezing the handle mounted on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the handle. Run the forks into the slots in the pallet and make sure the forks are centered so that the pallets' weight is evenly distributed.

By pumping the pneumatic jack lever the blades will rise from the ground. Once there is full clearance, you can discontinue pumping as there is no need to elevate the jack anymore. To move the pallet jack, you may pull the handle behind you. It is not recommended to push the pallet truck. There will be a huge amount of momentum existing. Refrain from quick or sharp turns and do not stop too swiftly. Gently bring the pallet to a rest where you would like to park it. Squeeze the lever within the grip end to return the blades to the ground. Withdraw the blades and restore the pallet jack to a suitable parking area or continue onto the next assignment.
